Job Description |
Cardine Studios located about 1 hour south of Washington DC is looking for the following:
Experienced Welder/Fabricator needed for busy, extremely high-end ornamental iron/blacksmithing shop. 80% of our work is curved custom balustrades
Must have experience with ferrous/non-ferrous materials. We do a lot of steel, but also work with bronze, aluminum, stainless, etc.
Must be proficient in TIG/MIG/Stick welding.
Some travel for installations is required. About 5-7 times a year for not more than 1 week at a time. We currently have jobs scheduled in Chicago, Manhattan, and Eastern Maryland in addition to our workload in the Washington, DC metro area.
Typical workday --- 7/7:30AM to 4/5PM (Currently overtime available as we are very busy) Maybe some Saturdays (6hrs +/-)
Installations --- We install our own products, so helpful for you to have some install/field/carpentry experience.
Tools --- You will be required to provide some of your own tools that should be locked in some type of gangbox. (A tool list will be provided)
Health Insurance --- Not currently offered
Paid Vacations --- 1 week first year/2 weeks second year
Temporary/Contract position may be acceptable (minimum 4-month commitments)
